PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change an AF frame to an appropriate range so as to match the position and the size of a face (face image) of a person, when the face image is included in the AF frame. SOLUTION: When a user sets an AF frame 100 such that a face image 102 of a tracking target person is included in the AF frame, the AF frame 100 is changed to an appropriate range corresponding to the position and size of the face image 102 of the person. If the size of the face image 102 of the person is reduced by a zoom operation or the like, the size of the AF frame is reduced in accordance with the change of the face image 102.
