PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container gripping apparatus 7 with a simpler constitution in comparison with a conventional one. SOLUTION: The container gripping apparatus 7 is equipped with a gripper 15 consisting of a pair of right and left arms 15B and 15A, and the gripper 15 is opened/closed by a cam mechanism 28 consisting of a cam follower 42 and a cam member 43. A lower-side movable member 24 is connected with the rod 22A of a cylinder mechanism 22, and an upper-side movable member 26 is connected with the chip part of the rod 22A through a coil spring 25. When the rod 22A is advanced, at first, the movable member 26 is brought into contact with a stopper 27 to stop forwarding of the gripper 15, and thereafter, while the coil spring 25 is compressed, the rod 22A and the cam member 43 are forwarded. Thereby, both arms 15A and 15B are closed through the cam mechanism 28, so that the neck part 2D of the container 2 is gripped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
