摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrolytically decomposing apparatus constituted so as to prevent the occurrence of iodine from activated carbon having collected mercury in a sample, a mercury analyzer and a mercury analyzing method and to enhance the analyzing sensitivity and accuracy of mercury. SOLUTION: The pyrolytically decomposing apparatus 10 has a sample container 12 for housing activated carbon C having collected mercury in the sample S, a sample heating oven 11 for heating the activated carbon C housed in the sample container 12 and a first carrier gas flow channel 16 for allowing a carrier gas G, which carries the mercury gas produced by heating the activated carbon C in the sample heating oven 11, to flow. The activated carbon C housed in the sample container 12 is heated to a predetermined temperature in the sample heating oven 11 while producing the mercury gas from the activated carbon C and allowing at least one of a nitrogen gas, an argon gas, a neon gas and helium gas to flow as the carrier gas G.
