<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized switch device. <P>SOLUTION: The switch device 100, which performs the transmission of a transponder signal from a portable machine 108 that has a transponder used for immobilizer communication, includes: an operation part 101, which validates a switch operation when a reference code contained in the transponder signal matches a preset determination code; and a coil antenna 102, which outputs drive waveforms for causing the transponder to generate an electromotive force. This coil antenna 102 is embedded in the operation part 101 or wound in the hollow part of the operation part 101. In the switch device 100 of this structure, the coil antenna 102 can be arranged without providing a switch holder for arranging the coil antenna 102, so that it can inhibit the switch from becoming large in size.
