The method involves machining a bar (B) e.g. balsa bar, by disk shaped rotary cutting tools (1) e.g. abrasive discs, arranged in a same sectional plane transversal to an axis of the bar. The tools are moved with an epicycloidal movement such that the tools are rotated around their axes, respectively, where the axes of the tools are rotated themselves around the axis of the bar. Distance between the axes of the tools and the axis of the bar is continuously adjusted according to the translation position of the bar with respect to a chassis. An independent claim is also included for a device for fabricating wooden revolution part from a bar.
