The table (20) has a horizontal axis channel and a vertical axis channel that are formed in a bearing element (40) so as to permit connection of the table with a support body (10) of a chair. A positioning axle (25) is situated in the channels and formed in an end part of a table shaft (21). A press element (50) i.e. spring, is situated in an axial movement space of the bearing element, jointly with the table shaft. An inclined surface is formed in the bearing element. A mounting space is formed for mounting the bearing element on a fixation space (11) of the support body. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening a writing table.
