The method involves storing a pressurized gaseous medium in a storage reservoir e.g. gas bottle, of a movable storage device i.e. truck, at supercritical pressure conditions under pressure of 200-500 bars and at temperature of 30-80 Kelvin, where the reservoir is made up of a material having high resistance to temperature and/or pressure. The storage device is provided with a heat pipe acting on a gas preheating device to provide pressure to the storage reservoir. An independent claim is also included for a device for storing a pressurized gaseous medium.
