<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gripping technique suitable for gripping different kinds of cylinder heads. <P>SOLUTION: A cylinder head gripping device 10 is a bar inserted into a plug hole 27 as an oblique hole (refer to Fig.1), and includes support bars 32 and 32 divided so that a distal end 31 can be expandingly opened; an opening/closing rod 33 for expandingly opening the support bars 32 and 32; an opening/closing rod driving source 34 for advancing and retracting the opening/closing rod 33; a support member 35; and a control section 21 (refer to Fig.1) for carrying out a series of controls in which the support bars 32 and 32 are opened to grip the cylinder head 15, the cylinder head 15 is moved and held down by a hold-down member 24, the opening/closing rod 33 is retracted, and the support bars 32 and 32 are closed and drawn out of the cylinder head 15. Owing to a small number of components, a small simple structure is achieved, thereby reducing the load exerted on a robot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
