PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine for vehicle with high efficiency and high output while no-load induced voltage is reduced. SOLUTION: A stator coil whose number of phases is Ph is held by a stator with the number Nc of wire connections. Permanent magnets magnetized in a direction where leakage magnetic flux of pawl magnetic poles 21a and 21b repels are arranged in a gap between adjacent pawl magnetic poles 21a and 21b formed in a rotor core 20 of a rotor. A ratio Gp/Lrs between a gap size Gp in the gap between the pawl magnetic poles 21a and 21b and length Lrs=Dr×sin(360×Nc/(2×P×Ph)) when an outer diameter of the rotor core 20 is set to be Dr and the number of the pawl magnetic poles 21a and 21b to be P is set to be 0.8 to 1.2. Consequently, leakage magnetic flux is suppressed, no-load induced voltage is reduced and high efficiency and high output can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
