PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance work efficiency in loading of a container placed on the ground onto an undercarriage therefor, in a cargo handling vehicle for loading and unloading the container detachably mounted on the undercarriage between the undercarriage and the ground. SOLUTION: This cargo handling vehicle V is provided for loading the container Ct on the undercarriage F, by engaging a hook 6 with a lift bar 17 by guiding the lift bar 17 of the container Ct to the hook 6 by a guide surface G of a hook support 20, by arranging a cargo handling arm LA having a lift arm 4 and a hook arm 5 having the hook 6 and the hook support 20 on the undercarriage F. The hook support 20 can change a position in the longitudinal direction of the undercarriage f via a connecting link 21, and can engage the hook 6 with the lift bar 17 even if a distance W2 between the cargo handling vehicle V and the container becomes longer than an ordinary distance.
