PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method of multistage combustion. SOLUTION: One multistage combustion system 10 includes a first fuel source for supplying first fuel having a first chemical composition, a first injector 12 for injecting the first fuel, and a second fuel source for supplying second fuel having a second chemical composition. A relative reaction concentration of hydrogen, a carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon or a combination of two or more hydrocarbon in the first chemical composition is different from the relative reaction concentration of the second chemical composition.
