PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve temperature control with good energy efficiency when performing temperature control of a photoreceptor drum and a developing device. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a heater 411 for heating the photoreceptor drum 309, a heater drive circuit 412 for driving the heater 411, a Peltier element 414 for cooling the developing device 314, and a Peltier drive circuit 405 for driving the Peltier element 414.
