PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve amusement of games in a game machine in which a game is carried out in a special performance mode when predetermined conditions are established. SOLUTION: A game machine includes a control means for symbol display, a means for carrying out special performance and an operating means. In the control means for symbol display, when conditions for starting symbol fluctuation are established, symbols are displayed and fluctuated in a symbol display part accompanied with carrying out of determination of winning or losing, and after the end of the fluctuation display, the symbols are stopped by kinds of symbols corresponding to a result of the determination of winning or losing. In the carrying out means for special performance, when conditions for starting the special performance are established, the special performance is carried out until a preset period for carrying out the special performance is ended so that the special performance may extend across a plural number of times of symbol fluctuation display. In the operating means, changes can be added to the special performance by player's operation carried out within a plurality of effective periods of operation while the special performance is carried out. The game machine also includes an early finish means for finishing the special performance before the end of the period for carrying out the special performance if the player has not operated the operating means within the effective periods of operation.
