PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stripping a label from a processed body, whereby various labels attached to processed bodies are stripped in a large quantity in a short time at a time by using a small quantity of solvent, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: An adhering material 4 having a solvent containing d-limonene as its main component is dynamically brought into contact with a processed body 1 that includes a label 2 attached thereto. The solvent of the adhering material 4 permeates through the label 2 of the processed body 1, thereby nullifying the adhering function of an adhesive between the processed body 1 and label 2 and stripping the label 2 from the surface of the processed body 1.
