<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine for safely preventing a fire from spreading to another member when a fire accident occurs in a control board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: an operation board 11a disposed inside an upper frame body 3; the control board 11b mounted with a control component through which a high current flows; a control board-housing portion 12 made of a flame-retardant resin and internally mounting the control board 11a and the control board 11b; a moisture-resistant potting material 54 filling the board-housing portion 12; and a control board cover 16 configured to cover the upper surface of the control board 11b. In the control board cover 16, a labyrinth structure of a fitting portion between the control board cover and the board-housing portion 12 has a waterproof structure on the side surface. The board-housing portion 12 has a lower surface metal plate cover 18 made of a metal steel plate on the lower surface, and an upper metal plate cover 17 made of the metal steel plate on the upper surface. Combustible members through which high current flows are collected on the control board 11b, so that even if heat is generated or a fire occurs, fire spread is prevented by the flame-retardant resin member and the metal plate covers 17 and 18 made of the metal steel plate; thus, the safety of the product is improved.
