<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating device of high visibility by illuminating the inside of the ventilating device to make the inside of the ventilating device bright during maintenance of the ventilating device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ventilating device includes: a fan 1; a motor 2 for rotating the fan 1; an illuminating means 3 (an LED, an incandescent lamp, or the like) for illuminating the peripheral part of a boss 10 of the fan 1; an illumination driving means 5 having a power supply means 4 (a solar cell, a rechargeable battery, an electric double layer capacitor, or the like) and driving the illuminating means 3; a control means 6 for controlling the operation of the ventilating device; a switch 7 for controlling on/off of the illuminating means 3; a louver 8 installed at a lower face opening of the ventilating device; and an adaptor 9 exhausting indoor air sucked from the lower face opening, to the outdoors. The inside of the ventilating device can be illuminated to make the inside of the ventilating device bright by driving the illumination driving means 5 by the power supply means 4 to light the illuminating means 3.
