<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for wall surface, facilitating construction and having sufficient strength for even when an external force in the lateral direction is applied on the wall surface after the construction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This block 1 for wall surface is constituted by forming a recessed and projecting body 3 in the longitudinal direction of an upper face of the block 1 for wall surface and forming a recessed and projecting groove 4 in which the recessed and projecting body 3 of the other block 1 positioned just below the block 1, is fitted in the longitudinal direction of a bottom face of the block 1. The recessed and projecting body 3 erected and constituted by a pair of straight rising faces 3a and 3b having optional height includes a corrugated surface having continuous arc-shaped concave faces 3d and arc-shaped convex faces 3c. The recessed and projecting groove 4 includes internal wall surfaces 4a and 4d formed by scraping them down by only the height of the rising faces 3a and 3b, and also includes a surface shape having continuous arc-shaped concave faces 4c and arc-shaped convex faces 4d in the same way as the recessed and projecting body 3.
