<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spreading of fire to other batteries in a battery pack case and suppress ignition as the battery pack. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The case 1 for the battery pack, a first battery 2, a second battery 2 arranged in a reverse direction against the first battery 2, a fire extinguishing agent tank 3 filled with the fire extinguishing agent and deployed so as to neighbor the first battery 2 and the second battery 2, and a connecting plate 4 to connect both batteries 2 in series are equipped. The connecting plate 4 is contacted with or placed adjacent to a wall face of the fire extinguishing agent tank 3, which makes the wall face of the fire extinguishing agent tank 3 melt to release the fire extinguishing agent responding to exothermic heat of either of the first battery 2 or the second battery 2.
