PURPOSE: A multi section management method for mobile terminals and a handoff method for mobile terminals through multi section management are provided to eliminate requirement of frequent mobile terminal registration due to frequent handoff in order to prevent the waste of wireless resources. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal receives section identification information of a current base station(S110). The mobile terminal determines whether the section identification information is registered in a base station table(S120). If the section identification information is not registered, the mobile terminal records the section identification information in the base station table(S130). The mobile terminal informs that the mobile terminal is located in a overlapped section. The mobile terminal conducts multi section registration(S140).
