<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of fuel consumption performance of a vehicle while securing thermal durability performance of a motor, in a vehicular power transmission device including an electric type differential section and a continuously variable transmission section. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic control device 80 of the power transmission device 10 including the differential section 16 and continuously variable transmission section 20, when a motor temperature determining means 90 determines that the first motor temperature TH<SB>M1</SB>exceeds a predetermined value Temp1, a controlling means 88 of the differential section and a controlling means 86 of the continuously variable transmission section change the gear ratio γ0 of the differential section 16 and the gear ratio γ<SB>CVT</SB>of the continuously variable transmission section 20 so that a first motor M1 is operated at a thermally advantageous first motor operating point P<SB>M1</SB>and an engine operating point P<SB>EG</SB>is operated along the combustion efficiency optimal line L<SB>EF</SB>. The heating value of the first motor M1 is suppressed to secure the thermal durability performance of the first motor M1, and the combustion efficiency of the engine 8 is made optimal to prevent the degradation in fuel consumption performance of the whole power transmission device 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
