<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter having a structure that can be made compact. <P>SOLUTION: A connecting point 96 between a snubber capacitor 72 and a snubber diode 74 of a snubber module 64 connected in parallel to an IGBT 12 and a connecting point 98 between a snubber capacitor 84 and a snubber diode 86 of a snubber module 68 connected in parallel to an IGBT 16 are connected to each other, with snubber resistors 102 and 104 inserted on the respective sides.
