<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device for photographing where a lens drive device on which a lens and an imaging device are mounted is rocked appropriately, and which attains size reduction and thinning, and suppresses the effects due to disturbances, including vibrations and impacts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical device for photographing 1, having a camera shake correcting function that rocks the lens drive device 2 so as to correct camera shake includes: a rocking drive mechanism 6 that rocks the lens drive device 2; a support point 19 that is the center of rocking of the lens drive device 2; and a leaf spring 17 that supports the lens drive device 2 to rock. The rocking drive mechanism 6 includes a coil for driving 23 and a magnet for driving 21. The magnet for driving 21 is rocked together with the lens drive device 2, and the coil for driving 23 is fixed to the support body 5. In the optical device for photography 1, energizing force for energizing the lens drive device 2 in a direction going toward the support point 19 is generated by the attractive force generated between a magnetic member 20 and the magnet for driving 21.
