<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad crossing obstacle detecting device for improving reliability in detecting an obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: This railroad crossing obstacle detecting device includes shielding members 9a and 9b for shielding a side lobe included in a radio wave. The shielding members 9a and 9b are respectively a metallic plate, and are arranged so as to project in the transmission direction of the radio wave W1 by adjusting its plate surface to the side surface of a transmission antenna ANT1 and a receiving antenna ANT2. Thus, since the side lobe is not transmitted to an area except for a detection area, the railroad crossing obstacle detecting device does not incorrectly detect an object existing in the area except for the detection area such as a crossing pole and an automobile waiting for crossing as the obstacle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
