<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: an error of R/W offset with respect to the decentration of a servo track is very large to improve read and write data reliability in a magnetic recording medium, so that data read reliability will be lowered if reading and writing data by a constant R/W offset with respect to each servo track without considering the decentration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A head position calculation part calculates at least one of the target position of a read head in writing and the target position of a read head in reading from the radial position and the circumferential position of the magnetic disk at the target position.
