<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein in a cooling unit using a temperature type expansion valve, since the valve is closed after stop of a compressor due to characteristics of the temperature type expansion valve and a high-low pressure difference is maintained during stop of the compressor, restart of the compressor requires large starting load, which may cause starting failure and require a motor with large torque to respond to the situation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensing part 8 of a temperature type expansion valve 3 is installed to enable heat transfer to low-pressure piping 10 near to a compressor 1, so as to promote temperature rise of the temperature sensing part 8 during stop of the compressor 1. Along with this, the temperature type expansion valve 3 is opened and a pressure difference between high-pressure and low-pressure sides in a refrigerating cycle at restart of the compressor 1 is reduced.
