PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supplement the rotational force of an oscillation motor by making use of gravity imposed on an eccentric weight at start-up at which the largest load is imposed on the oscillation motor to start up the oscillation motor even if power supplied to the oscillation motor is small; and to make the start-up voltage of the oscillation motor low to prolong the life of a battery. SOLUTION: This portable equipment having an oscillating function can inform a user of information, such as the generation of an alarm, the generation of a timer and a time signal, by means of an oscillation. In addition, the portable equipment includes: an oscillation motor 4 having an eccentric weight; and a control circuit 2 which rotates the oscillation motor 4 alternately in forward and reverse directions to start up the motor while moving the eccentric weight like a pendulum.
