<p>In an information processing system, a management device (10) unifies management of the use rights of hardware resources that information processors (20, 30, 40) connected by a network (50) possess. In the management device (10), a status information management section (12) monitors the active/inactive states of the hardware resources of the information processors and stores the information in a database (14). A load status management section (13) monitors the load statuses of the information processors and stores the information in the database (14). A use right information holding section (16) holds use right information which is information on the use rights of hardware resources granted to the whole information processing system. A use right assigning section (18) grants the use rights in the possession to the hardware resources of the information processors or grants the use rights of a hardware resource of a certain information processor to a hardware resource of another information processor in the unit of predetermined logical hardware resource depending on the states or load statuses of the information processors.</p> |
