BINDING DEVICE

A binding device, wherein the binding device can be easily manufactured and wherein binding prongs are configured to be easily opened and closed so as to facilitate replacement of leaves. A binding device provided with binding prong sections (12), connecting sections (14) for connecting the binding prong sections (12) to each other, and shaft sections (16) as the center about which binding prongs (20, 30) are opened and closed.  The shaft sections (16) are connected to the connecting sections (14) at the lower portions thereof which are located close to the bases of the binding prongs, and the configuration allows leaves bound by the binding prong sections to be turned over along the binding prongs, can be turned over 360 degrees, and can be located adjacent to each other across the shaft sections (16).  The shaft sections (16) are provided with a shaft (100) and bearing sections (80, 90) for the shaft.  The bearing sections (80, 90) connect to the connecting sections (14) and have, in side surfaces thereof, openings (84, 94) for inserting the shaft (100).  The bearing sections (80, 90) are configured to be the center of rotation of the binding prongs when the binding prongs are closed with the tips thereof aligned with each other and when the tips of the binding prongs are separated from each other.
