The climate-control unit has a heat transfer medium circulation system (1) with a main section (5), containing a heat exchanger (8) for heat exchange with the air flow (10) supplied to the passenger compartment and 2 secondary sections (6,7) respectively acting as a heating circuit (2) and a cooling circuit (3), selectively coupled to the main section via a single 3-way valve (4). The heating circuit secondary section has an expansion valve (20) between the 3-way valve and the connection point (18) of both secondary sections with the heat exchanger.
