[PROBLEMS]To provide a method for rationally bending a medical suture needle which is curved with different radii of curvature in the length direction.[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS]In the method for bending a medical suture needle with different radii of curvature (r, R) in the length direction, shaped faces (11a-11c) formed by making the outer circumferential surface of a reciprocally rotating bender (11) correspond to the curved shape of a suture needle A that bends with different radii of curvature in the length direction, are formed. Outer circumferential surface of the bender (11) and a press roll (14) are pressed relatively while sandwiching a flexible belt (12), a rodlike material (1) is sandwiched between the outer circumferential surface of the bender (11) and the belt (12) at the pressing point P between the outer circumferential surface of the bender and the press roll (14) and the bender is rotated reciprocally in the winding direction (arrow a direction) and the rewinding direction (arrow b direction), thus bending the material (1) with different radii of curvature in the length direction. |
