PURPOSE: A valve assembly for a water pipe is provided to enable a user to arbitrarily open and close a valve during heating, and to control the temperature of indoor heating. CONSTITUTION: A valve assembly for a water pipe comprises a driving part bottom housing(31), a spring housing(19), a wax barrel(16), a shaft(17), a driving part top housing(11), and a valve. The driving part bottom housing fixes the valve to a water pipe. The spring housing is movably coupled to the top end of the driving part bottom housing. The wax barrel is located inside the spring housing, and is filled with wax. The shaft is installed in the bottom end of the wax barrel, and is moved up and down by the wax. The driving part top housing is coupled to the top of the spring housing, and covers the spring housing and the wax barrel. The valve opens and closes the water pipe depending on the movement of the shaft.
