HIGH ENERGY BIOFUEL COMPOSITION AND FERMENTATION PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

A high energy biofuel composition comprising ethanol and butanol produced by naturally isolated Clostridium sporogenes MTCC 5469 in a fermentation media comprising of sugars bearing media and other nutrients minimally required for growth, avoiding its degeneration and inducing high energy biofuel production. The process is integrated with recovery of the high energy biofuel periodically to overcome the toxicity and hence produce higher concentrations by means an extraction. The extractant is selected from the group of polyethers, higher fatty alcohol esters, C1O-C18 hydrocarbons preferably polypropylene glycol (PPG) 1000. The extractant is brought in contact with the fermentation broth with gentle mixing. Further the extractant is periodically renewed to overcome the saturation limitation of the high energy biofuel in the extractant which can be continued until the desired concentration of high energy biofuel is achieved.
