Stabilizer comprises a compound having at least one oligophosphate group. Independent claims are also included for: (1) stabilizing heparin-binding growth factors, comprising contacting the stabilizer with the growth factors; (2) a growth factor stabilized by the above method; (3) a preparation comprising the stabilizer, where the preparation is prepared as a solution, preferably aqueous solution, cream, gel or an ointment; and (4) a kit comprising the heparin-binding growth factor, preferably fibroblast growth factor and the stabilizer.
