PURPOSE: An authentication method for an IPTV service and an apparatus thereof are provided to enable a user to automatically log in using IDs/PWs of each web stored in a USB, thereby enabling the user to safely and conveniently use an IPTV service. CONSTITUTION: If a USB memory is inserted, an encoded IPTV code and IDs/PWs of each web server are outputted from the USB memory. The encoded IPTV code and a preset IPTV code are mutually compared(S211). If the codes are the same, authentication is performed using the ID/PW of a corresponding web server(S217). An IPTV service of the web server is provided according to the authentication result(S219). |
