BOTTLE CLOSURE AND A BOTTLE CAPPING METHOD

The invention relates to packing. The bottle closure comprises a plug which is made of polymer material and has an outer cylindrical wall for encompassing the neck of a bottle, a metal lid encompassing the plug from the end face thereof and a detachable element in the form of a strip with a gripping tab on the cylindrical wall. The cap-shaped metal lid is provided with an inner flange and the outer surface of the plug is provided with an annular catch which is bent down as the lid is seated on the plug so that the catch rests against the lid wall and the flange of the lid end face in order to hold the lid on the plug. The strip-like detachable element is integral to the plug cylindrical wall and is a vertical extension thereof, the cylindrical wall is provided, at a level below the strip of the detachable element, with a catch for encompassing the crown of the bottle, and the end face of the plug is mushroom-shaped so that the mushroom-shaped part thereof can be accommodated in the neck of the bottle. A bottle capping method is also disclosed. The aim of the invention is to provide a new bottle closure design for reliable and secure sealing, while simplifying both the structure of the closure and the capping method and simultaneously ensuring a high percentage yield of articles that meet the sealing standard.
