PURPOSE: A fusing unit, an image forming apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to selectively apply negative power or positive power to a pressurizing roller according to whether a printing medium exists between a pressurizing roller and a heating belt. CONSTITUTION: A nonconductive layer is formed on the outside of a heating belt(62). A pressurizing roller(61) adheres a printing medium to the outside of the heating belt. One of positive power and negative power is selectively applied to the pressurizing roller. The heating belt comprises the following units. The first support roller supports inner one side of the heating belt. The second support roller supports another inner side of the heating belt.
