PURPOSE: An impact reduction apparatus of a steering column is provided to simplify a structure due to omitting a plate fixing pin by not using plastic injection process in manufacture. CONSTITUTION: An impact reduction apparatus of a steering column comprises: a capsule(5) which is inserted into a through hole in a mounting bracket(2) by a fixing groove in the mounting bracket and fixed; and a shock absorbing plate(10) which holds the end of the capsule by crossing through the end part(3,4) of the mounting bracket. The capsule comprises: an upper capsule which has a fixation pin which extrudes in order to be inserted in the through hole in the mounting bracket; and a lower capsule which has a fixed end in order to be inserted in the fixing groove.
