The present invention relates to a roof panel (5) with an integrated BIPV- type solar panel (6). The roof panle comprises a casing (7) with a bottom plate (8) and upright side walls (9) and a solar panel (6) which extends above said bottom plate (8), spaced therefrom by some distance, and which substantially closes said casing, wherein at least one opening (15) is present in the roof panel between the roof panel and the casing at the bottom side remote from the ridge of the roof when the roof panel is used on a roof. At least one air outlet opening (13) is provided in addition to said at least one opening (15) present at the bottom side of the roof panel, so that in use at least one ventilation channel extends between the bottom plate and the solar panel from said at least one opening (15) at the bottom side of the panel, which functions as an air inlet opening,, to said at least one air outlet opening (13). The invention further relates to a roof comprising at least two such roof panels disposed one above the other.
