PURPOSE: A device and a method for transmitting and receiving a signal are provided to improve signal transmission and reception performance of a transmission and reception system by easily recovering a transmission signal. CONSTITUTION: An input processor(110) outputs a frame including a service stream. A coding modulation unit(120) corrects an error about the service stream and outputs data of the stream correcting the error. A signal information unit generates network information and service technology information. A frame builder(130) maps the error-corrected data to a symbol. The frame builder forms the signal frame including the symbols at each frequency band. A frame modulation unit modulates the signal frame. The frame modulation unit inserts the guard interval into the modulated frame. An analog processor transmits the signal of the modulated frame into an analog signal.
