The present invention relates to a weight control apparatus for a weight training machine, comprising: a plurality of stacks (17) which are fitted to a pair of guides (16) standing upright between supports (10) on a base (11) such that the stacks are slidable in the upward and downward directions, and which have rectangular locking grooves (170); a main body (2) which is arranged on the front surface of the base (11), and which has a plurality of insertion grooves (20) corresponding to the locking grooves (170) of the stacks (17), and which has a top on which a holder (14) is mounted; and a cover (4) which is arranged on the front surface of the main body (2), and which has a plurality of locking pin members (5) to be inserted into the insertion grooves (20). Each of the locking pin members (5) has a rectangular stopper (51), a shaft pin (52), a button (54), and a conical coil spring (53). The stopper (51) has a recess (512) inwardly recessed, protrusions (514) protruding from both sides of the recess (512), and locking protrusions (515-1, 515-2) protruding from both sides of the stopper (51). The shaft pin (52) is connected to the front end of the stopper (51). The button (54) is arranged on the front end of the shaft pin (52).
