A method, device and system for optic-demodulating the optical carrier of polarization division multiplexing are provided in the embodiment of the present invention, which can enhance the spectrum utilization ratio of the system, enhance the tolerances of the chroma dispersion CD and the polarization mode dispersion PMD, and at the same time reduce the apparatus demand and the complexity of the receiving end. The method provided by the embodiment of the present invention comprises: dividing the optical carrier into more than two optical sub-carriers at the receiving end, separately optic-demodulating the polarization division multiplexing for each optical sub-carrier to two optical signals to be demodulated; extracting a part of signal from each optical signal to be demodulated to computing the feature which denotes the state of the polarization, controlling the feedback signal according to the feature, adjusting the polarization state of each optical sub-carrier correspondingly. By the equipment which combines optic-demodulating more than two sub-carriers with optic-demodulating the polarization division multiplexing, the embodiment of the present invention can make the optical carrier signal at the optical modulation format to be divided into more than 4 for processing, and can get the output signal by using the DQPSK demodulator to directly perform delay interference detection for the optical wave.
