PURPOSE: An encoder spacer of a spindle motor is provided to improve the effectiveness through the sharing of parts by applying a spacer for a general slim motor. CONSTITUTION: An encoder spacer(100) is composed of an unit body(110) which has an insulating material. First terminals(112,114,116,118) are electrically connected to the sub printed circuit board of the encoder. Second terminals(111,113,115,117) are connected through the inside of the body and the first terminal. The second terminal is electrically connected to the main printed circuit board of the spindle motor. The other side of the encoder spacer is contact with the main printed circuit board. Guides(120,122) are projected from the rear side of the encoder spacer. The guide is inserted into the main printed circuit board. The height of the encoder spacer is reduced through the insertion of the guide.
