Provided is a method for producing an alkylated aromatic compound with which it is possible to greatly reduce the amount of solid acidic substance, as well as a method for producing cumene and a method for producing a phenol comprising steps for obtaining cumene by this method. The method for producing an alkylated aromatic compound comprises a step (i) for obtaining a reaction product (a1) containing an alkylated aromatic compound and water by reacting an aromatic compound, ketone, and hydrogen using a solid acidic substance and a metal component comprising at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of copper, nickel, cobalt, and rhenium; a step (ii) for obtaining a dehydration product (a2) by removing at least a portion of the water in the reaction product (a1) from at least a portion of the reaction product (a1); and a step (iii) for obtaining a reaction product (a3) containing alkylated aromatic compound by bringing at least a portion of the dehydration product (a2) into contact with the solid acidic substance. |
