PURPOSE: A peptide prepared from oyster through enzyme treatment is provided to suppress angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) and to treat or relieve cardiovascular diseases. CONSTITUTION: A peptide prepared from oyster through enzyme treatment has amino acid sequence of sequence number 1 or 2. A vector contains a nucleotide encoding the peptide. A composition for treating or relieving cardiovascular diseases contains the peptide. Cardiovascular diseases are hypertension, heart disease, stroke, thrombosis, cardiac failure, atherosclerosis or arteriosclerosis.
