METHOD FOR IMPROVING HIGH QUALITY QUARTZ CRUCIBLE

PURPOSE: A method for improving a high quality quartz crucible is provided to uniform the inner surface of the quartz crucible by controlling the intensity of a magnetic field during a poly-crystalline silicon melting process. CONSTITUTION: A poly-crystalline silicon is provided in a quartz crucible(110). The poly-crystalline silicon is melted by heating. A magnetic field is applied to the melted poly-crystalline silicon in order to form a crystal on the inner surface of the quartz crucible. The intensity of the magnetic field is changed in order to activate the convection of the melted poly-crystalline silicon. The crystal is separated by the convection.
