PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a benzoyl peroxide composition is provided to control purity by replacing the moisture included in a benzoyl peroxide composition as a phthalate-based additive. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a benzoyl peroxide composition comprises the steps of: (S101) dissolving 80-120 parts by weight of benzoyl peroxide in 180-220 parts by weight of a solvent at 50-100 °C to prepare a benzoyl peroxide solution; (S103) adding 80-100.0 parts by weight of additive in the manufactured solution; (S105) lowering the temperature of the sol to which additive is added to a room temperature and segregating the solute of solution to make recrystallization; (S107) filtering the solvent with granules through recrystallization using Nutsche filter; and (S109) granules passing through the filtration step.
