The tool has a support with an end, which is opened. Half of the support is formed in a clamping piece (5), where the clamping piece is pressed against a cutting plate with a clamping screw (11). The support is sectionally and centrally symmetric, and another half of the support is formed in a shaft (3). A linear guide (13) e.g. prism guide, for the clamping piece is provided in the shaft and comprises guide nuts (15.1, 15.2) and a guide element (17) cooperative with the guide nuts. The guide is arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of the clamping screw.
