<p>Method for the photocatalytic activation of a surface of a component having a porously bound mineral crystalline matrix and made from an aqueous mixture with an organic binder comprises applying water to the surface of the component to be activated until a water film forms, directly applying dry binder ground particles of grain size of 10 nm to 100 mu m and photocatalytically active particles with a grain size of 1 nm to 50 mu m to the film and reacting the binder particles with water of the film to form a binder stone with a hydrated crystal matrix and hardening. The remaining water is removed by evaporation and/or suctioning off through the matrix. An independent claim is also included for a component produced by the above method.</p> |
