PURPOSE: A knee bolster for a vehicle is provided to reduce knee injuries to a passenger by absorbing shock energy applied on the knee through a lower, an upper bracket, and a tensile member. CONSTITUTION: A knee bolster(100) for a vehicle comprises a lower and an upper bracket(10,20) and a tensile member(30). The bottom bracket is bent downward due to external shock. The bottom bracket absorbs shock applies on the car body. The top bracket is coupled with the upper part of the bottom bracket. The top bracket is bent upward due to the external shock to absorb shock. The both ends of the tensile member are fixed on the bottom bracket and the top bracket.
