In a mobile telecommunications network including a plurality of user devices each configured to communicate across the network via at least one mode of communication, a method of a first user device obtaining an indicator regarding the suitability of at least one mode of communication in relation to at least one other user device, the method comprising: determining first contextual information in relation to the first user device; determining second contextual information in relation to each of the at least one other user device; and for each of the at least one mode of communication, determining the suitability indicator using the first and second contextual information.
